So the American Music Awards were last night. There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the performance of American Idol’s 2nd place winner, Adam Lambert. You can watch it here on Perez Hilton’s site. As you can see, its pretty provocative with some  guy to guy, dick to face, pelvic thrusts within the first minute. He then continues to make out with one of his male band-members.

We have no problem with the actual performance, and are all about expressing yourself and creating your own image.  If he wants to tour America simulating oral and kissing dudes all day on stage, then more power to him, he’ll literally make millions doing it. But the AMA’s are on public national television, and this is obviously going to stir up some controversy.  “But what about Britney and Madonna’s kiss?” Irrelevant, that was for like a second, and it was on MTV, where dudes kiss dudes, and girls kiss girls all the time.  This performance was on ABC. Just look at the picture above, he obviously knew he was going to catch some heat for that. Lets all try to get over it quickly, and not reward him with the publicity that he did it for in the first place. Lets also not forget to take a sip of haterade, and remember that the only reason that this guy is in the national spotlight is because Middle America texted him to be the 2nd best Karaoke singer in America.
