Unfortunately, I put too many spliffs in the air, and slept on reviewing this mixtape when I originally posted it, but it doesn’t mean I haven’t been bumping it. The track above is one of the stand out tracks from their new mixtape, Solos and Polos. Its definitely a must have for the summer playlist.

Split second is a team of three guys who just graduated from Taft in CT. At such a young age, they’ve already entered the hip hop scene. Their first mixtape, Up Past Lights was really dope, but they definitely came harder with Polos and Solos. Its amazing how much they’ve progressed in the 7 months or so since they released it. They’re part of the coalition, The Upperclassmen, with dudes like Jazz Cartier. Grab Solos and Polos below and throw it on the ipod, because you can definitely expect to hear a lot about these guys, and you should get them on your radar now.
