More fire from B.o.B

Thecoolestout

The CDQ of this FINALLY leaks, and its as good as you’d expect. The beat is changed up to a harder Eminem style beat, B.O.B gets all new verses, Hayley Williams drops the same insane chorus, and Eminem kills the final verse. I mean he destroys it. This is a really great track, I expect it to be a giant radio hit. It’s already blowing up on iTunes, and I have a feeling this will be a jam all summer long.

This was easily my most anticipated song on The Adventures of Bobby Ray when I heard the snippets last week. B.O.B and blog favorite Janelle Monae flip indie rock band Vampire Weekend’s “The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance”, which I actually like as a stand-alone track alot, into a jam of a rap song. Think Chiddy Bang’s “Kids” as a model of what they do here, only not as fast-paced. B.O.B does alot of singing over the hook on this, but its so infectious and you’ll get it stuck in your head that it doesn’t matter. This is DOPE.

New MGMT Flash Delirium favorite songs

Pretty Much Amazing - MGMT, one of the most beloved psychedelic indie-pop acts of the late 00s, have “returned” with the first free sample from their forthcoming sophomore effort, Congratulations. The song, “Flash Delirium” favors “Weekend Warriors” and “The Handshake” from MGMT’s 2007/2008 debut, over trailblazing hits like “Kids” and “Time To Pretend“. Don’t let that retract from your excitement though; “Flash Delirium” is still a mind-bending ride worthy of that ridiculous album art work (above). As I’ve said before, MGMT is giving the MP3 for “Flash Delirium” away. So go ahead and download it:

New Dave and Tim Reynolds

File:Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds.jpg

The Coolest Out-Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are releasing their third album this week, called Live in Las Vegas, recorded live in 2009. Their previous two official releases – Live at Luther College (1999) and Live at Radio City (2007) – were two of my favorite live cds ever. These two have incredible chemistry with two acoustic guitars, making songs originally crafted with a full band backing them sound just as full and deep, and often even more beautiful, with just the two of them. This is a live version of the first single off Dave Matthews Band’s most recent album, and its dope. If you like this track definitely go buy the full album, which has 26 tracks and plays for almost two and a half hours. Worth a purchase, this is great music for almost any occasion.
